Company History 

Guy M. Turner TruckGuy M. Turner, Incorporated was founded in 1924 by two brothers from Covington, Virginia. The company started as a trucking concern and as it grew progressed to rigging. After World War II the company crated textile machinery that was shipped to Europe under the Marshall Plan.

Since that time the company's headquarters have moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. As Industrial Contractors, Guy M. Turner, Incorporated has expanded its services to include Plant Relocation, Heavy & Specialized Hauling, Heavy Lifting, Rigging & Millwright, Crane Service, Electrical Installation and Warehousing. This 80 plus years of experience has provided us with a pool of the finest talent and equipment available. Many of our superintendents and foremen have been with us for over twenty years.

Guy M. Turner - Transfer MovingWe own the equipment necessary to successfully complete any project - from large forklifts to specialized jacking and dolly systems, hydraulic gantry systems, and a modern fleet of cranes with capacities from 20 to 500 tons.

As a specialized carrier of over dimensional and over weight machinery and equipment, we own a fleet of tractors and trailers with capacities up to 125 tons. In addition, we have a 150 ton trunnion axle trailer and a 400 ton Goldhofer platform trailer.

In 2000 the company moved the corporate headquarters into a modern 50,000+ square foot facility on 25 acres. This facility includes a climate-controlled warehouse and a secured yard for the storage of our customers' goods.

We have trucking terminals in Greensboro and Charlotte, North Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Norfolk, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; Cincinnati, Ohio; Baltimore, Maryland; and Houston, Texas.

We have crane offices in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Martinsville, Virginia.
