Crane Assembly/Disassembly Crew Leader
Guy M Turner Inc is looking for a Crane Assembly/Disassembly Crew Leader.
- This individual will lead the assembly/disassembly of the company’s crawler and large mobile hydraulic cranes and will direct and manage personnel. Will direct a crew of roughly 5-6 people. Must have a positive, get-it-done attitude.
- Must be familiar and have experience with the instructions and sequence of crane assembly/disassembly.
- Crane assembly/disassembly must be per manufacturer’s guidelines (including rigging).
- Will communicate and work very closely with company dispatch to coordinate timely and effective logistics with dispatchers, operators, drivers, and managers.
- Will manage/be responsible for the load out/offload of everything associated with the movement of the crane(s).
- Will be responsible for and must be able to coordinate tractors, trailers, and overall logistics of equipment required for the job.
- Must know detailed schematics of cranes.
- Will be responsible for the proper assembly and configuration of the crane(s), per manufacturers’ requirements.
- The individual will manage and work with crews to ensure the correct equipment, positioning, and rigging have all been utilized.
- Individual will direct the assembly/disassembly of the crane(s) and ensure that equipment is safe, also ensuring that other crew members work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Will ensure compliance with all necessary safety requirements – company, OSHA, job site, customer, etc.
- Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of crane safety, including OSHA and manufacturers’ operational standards.
- Experience with lattice boom crawler cranes (heavily preferred)
- Out of town work (required)
