Guy M. Turner, Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our Crane Department in Greensboro NC. In this fast-paced, high-impact role, you’ll be part of the central hub of daily operations — responsible for coordinating the movement of cranes, trucks, and personnel to meet job schedules and customer expectations.
This is not a passive scheduling role. It’s about making decisions, solving logistical puzzles, and keeping jobs on track. You’ll be expected to stay organized, communicate clearly, and ensure every piece of the operation moves efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule & dispatch cranes, trucks, trailers, equipment, and operators
- Receive phone calls from customers for the sizing, scheduling, and booking of cranes and equipment.
- Liaison between customers, operators, crews, operations, and management.
- Manage real-time changes in schedule and equipment availability
- Acquire and order routes and permits
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in scheduling, dispatch, logistics coordination, or related field (required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A professional, solution-focused attitude when dealing with crews, customers, and field personnel
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage complex schedules and adjust plans quickly as conditions change
